To teach the truths of the Catholic Church to children and adults of the parish through diocesan approvd methods and texts. To assist and prepare children for the sacrements for the sacraments of Reconciliation, Eucharist, and Confirmation. To assist adults who inquire about the Catholic Church through RCIA.
Responsibilities
1. Contact parishioners and religious to teach faith formation classes each year.
2. Ask for parishioners to serve as substitute teachers and classroom aides.
3. Conduct registration for faith formation and RCIA.
4. Order teaching materials for faith formation and RCIA (i.e. books, handouts, seasonal materials, classroom supplies, Magnifikid subscription)
5. Prepare Safe Environment materials to be taught to children and distribute to teachers.
6. Coordinate with the Parish Safe Environment Representative for teachers, subsitutes, and classroom aides about current adult certification/training.
7. Prepare and submit annual reports to the diocese.
8. Prepare a faith formation calendar of events and coordinate with Father.
9. Contact parishioners to teach RCIA.
